A family whose members are very different: from the sunflower starfish (Pycnopodia helianthoides) of Alaska with 24 arms, to the very fine tiger-legged brittlestar (Ophiolepis superba) of the Red Sea, or the one whose hardly the star shape: a cushion starfish: Culcita Novaeguineae which lives in the coral reefs of Indonesia, where it can swallow prey larger than its mouth -like a sea urchin- by "devaginating" its stomach (=en taking it out of its body through its mouth) in order to digest its prey outside, then to re-ingest its stomach in full digestion... Very nice family reunions in perspective!
