CO361_1_1280x1280.jpg
A unique piece equally cultural and natural : a white cauliflower coral composition on an antic brass base.
It is typically the way Europeans used to display coral since 16th century, especially Italians in Napoli and Sicilia.
This brass base is a palm-vase from 17th century. This type of vase was standing on the altar of a church, usualy to display palm leaves or silk flowers.
The Pocillopora Damicornis is often the first type of coral to set up on a wrecked ship - a pioneer coral- and it never becomes very large (30cm diameter), but resist to strong ocean currents.
