Practiced in many countries, it is therefore exist in different sizes: the frog is sometimes replaced by other animals, or even human faces, the number of holes varies and also materials (wood, metal ..).

Now very active in the north of France, it is worth noting that the game of the frog is also played in South America under the name "sapo" (toad) or "rana" (frog).

The aim of the game is to score the maximum points by throwing iron pallets at a distance of at least 3 meters in the various holes of the game.

Each hole is a locker with a number of points. Frog course leading to the number of points higher (usually 2000).
Each player or team of players launches 8 pucks in a row, then accumulates the number of points obtained. The distance at which the players throw pucks depends on their age (between 2 and 5 to 6 meters).
