Corals generally live in colonies of individuals called "polyps" which are "superorganisms". Each polyp secretes its own exoskeleton; Depending on the species, this exoskeleton is hard or soft.
These very colorful insects have a large nose: they are Fulgores. Among the hundreds of species of these distant cousins of bedbugs, some even have a nose larger than their body (Fulgora Lateraria). We still don't really know what this appendage is for, which seems to be the fusion of its antennae. Some have peanut patterns, others thorns... We never tire of their colors from India to Thailand, where these 9 specimens come from.
