The top is protected against stains.

Due to the natural characteristic of the eucalyptus wood, the veneer can have a large variation in grain/pattern. Each veneer sheet will react differently to the smoking process and can be lighter or darker. Our craftsmen personally select the veneer which is used for the table to get the best color and grain/pattern match possible.

The Granito coffee table is a contemporary artisanal creation designed in terrazzo encrusted with pieces of glass.

Terrazzo, used since Antiquity, is an assembly of colored marble debris (or glass, granite, etc.) bound by cement. At the time, Venetian craftsmen inlaid pieces of stone and glass into the floors in order to reuse surplus materials from their workshops.

Veneered furniture is covered with a thin layer of real wood. Wood veneer is often used on high-end furniture and is sometimes more expensive than solid wood. This process became particularly popular in interiors in the middle of the 20th century, where teak wood was often used for Danish designer furniture.

To take full advantage of your veneered wood furniture, please observe a few basic rules:

- Avoid exposure to direct sunlight, as well as humidity and extreme temperature variations

- Be careful not to leave a round of moisture on the surface after watering plant flowers.

- Do not expose furniture to scratches from pets or sharp objects.

- Use coasters and slip pads under lamp bases and accessories.

Most seats in sub-Saharan Africa are low stools carved from a single block of wood. However, as early as the 16th century, Portuguese traders and explorers introduced back chairs to southern and eastern Africa. Chokwe artists soon began producing similar chairs by adding sculptural scenes and Chokwe motifs.

The ancestral figures or nommo are symmetrical and geometric sculpted in relief.

They support the higher seat and should represent ancestors seen as authority figures.

According to Dogon cosmogony, the stool is made up of two discs; one representing the sky and the other the earth.

Gorgonians, like corals, are animals living in the form of sessile colonial polyps, organized in a tree structure. Each polyp has 8 tentacles which filter the plankton and consume it. The general structure, a skeleton both flexible and hard, called gorgonine do not grow towards the sun (it does not require light to develop) but perpendicular to the current, so as to filter a maximum of water flow.

Anamorphosis Napoleon Bonaparte under Globe

Anamorphosis was born from the work on perspective by Piero della Francesca, a Florentine painter and mathematician of the Quattrocento.

This Art of secret perspective allows, thanks to a “trompe-l’oeil” technique, to create an impression of reality by restoring a 3rd dimension.

We were inspired by this technique to create Anamorphoses-Butterflies: at first glance, the eye is charmed by a colorful and poetic flight of butterflies... then suddenly, the unexpected image springs out and reveals itself to the viewer and doubles it perception appears.

In reality, a master painting serves as a motif for the butterflies, while the butterfly recreates a master painting...
