We still don't really know what this appendage is for, which seems to be the fusion of its antennae. Some have peanut patterns, others thorns... We never tire of their colors from India to Thailand, where these 9 specimens come from.

Anaea Nassus is the most beautiful subspecies of the 87 of the genus Anaeini! They live in the neotropical region, especially in the Amazon. It is a winged butterfly shaped leaves. The underside of their wings strongly resemble dead leaves, tree bark or rocks on which they settle. They can be seen when they drink the mineralized water from the wet soil, and on the banks of the river.

Sculpture bearing the likeness of Auguste, fragment of an original statue probably dating from 20 BC and preserved in the Louvre Museum, this statue is a tribute to the glory of this great Emperor who brought peace and order to Rome.
