These 13 blue butterflies come from the rainforests at the base of the Andes in Peru. What they all have in common is this mixture of black velvet and shades of blue on their wings. They are members of the Nymphalidae family. Among them, the Naeocles Jucunda live in the canopy of these forests, others like the Panacea Prola like to lounge on the banks of rivers, even in light rain.
