This panel, once brightly colored and finely carved, comes from the facade of one of the original houses of Toraja (Indonesia). Such panels served to establish the social rank of the householder and advertise his wealth. Each community developed its own characteristic imagery for these panels. Each one is time-worn, has its own distinct patina and is a unique and authentic collector's item.

A unique piece! 90 years ago a French cabinetmaker made a walnut table. In 2020 it was transformed by coarse salt sandblasting so as not to attack the wood. And above all, transformed into a pair of Art Deco consoles! Its new matte finish, a polyurethane varnish, protects the wood against spilled liquids, but allows this elegant piece of furniture to blend in with current decor.

A magnificent unique piece!

This block of Ammonites is a real photo of a seabed more than 180 million years old!

This large block of stone is 180 million years old since it dates from the Toarcian, at the very beginning of the Jurassic.

And surely a little German accent, since he comes from the Bayern region.

However, it is found throughout Europe. The Schlaifhausen site where this block comes from was undoubtedly the shore of a Jurassic sea where empty ammonite shells accumulated. The main advantage of this site is that the soil has remained quite sandy, which makes it easier to clear the gangue. A natural accumulation that was created 180 million years ago!
